Mode is more than fashion

So fashion is clothes and accessories.

Mode is a lifestyle aka Mode de vie.

I love to think of my style as a mix of eras, for clothes and other things as well, like old books have great stories with others point of views than the novels we can read today. People change as the world change and I find it really interesting and it scares me in some ways because I don't know if we're going in the right direction. It's up to us to make this world that we live in liveable, that's the main reason why I love to stick to old values and ways to live.

I read a lot and in ne of my bookshelves there's an old pic of my grandmother that I love a lot. I look up to her as a style icon but also as a mother, a grandmother and a really nice person. When I think about her living her 20's like I do I see a different world. It's funny because I'm living in the same part of town she used to live in when she was my age! I care a lot about history and Limoilou the place I live in as change a lot in 60 years even if the buildings are the same, the shops, the trees, the cars , the fashion as change so it's natural that our ''Mode de vie'' as change as well. Yet trying to live our lives in a respectful way to others and the things surrounding us is really important to me and I like to remind myself of the person who live here before we did. Think about your place for a moment, my building was build in the late 30's and families have live in my appartment for 70 years before I did. I love to make stories and imagine another woman getting ready in the bathroom, sleepin in the master bedroom, cooking great food in the kitchen and entertaining the guest in the living room. So many history, so little we know.

Fashion is no crime

Tell me how fashion can be a crime when it's unexpensive and so beautiful?

I got this dress at comptoir emmaus in Québec City for 18$
It's a perfect cocktail dress, It's been a while that I own this dress and it's one of my favorite!
When I thrift I take my time to find the perfect things and it's really worth it.
